This notice covers the Retro Dance website at retrodance.co.uk, hosted by Cloudflare.

Who is responsible?

Retro Dance is responsible for its dance enquiries and booking information. Contact Katie at [email protected] with questions or a privacy request. Compliance Blueprints manages the website; it does not access the business email inbox and is not the controller of Retro Dance’s customer correspondence simply because it developed the site.

Enquiries, bookings and updates

Contact and package forms collect the details you enter, such as your name, email, optional phone number, preferred service, dates and message. Class bookings also use your chosen venue, class date, booking option, booking reference and payment status. The newsletter form collects an email address when you choose to request updates. Provide only information needed for your request; do not include passwords, card numbers or sensitive health records in an ordinary message.

The purpose is to answer your enquiry, arrange requested lessons or classes and manage bookings. Requested steps towards a contract and performance of a contract apply where you are booking personally. Legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and administering the business apply to ordinary business correspondence. A newsletter request is separate from a booking: an enquiry alone is not permission for unrelated marketing. You can ask Katie to stop marketing at any time.

How this website handles submissions

Cloudflare hosts this website. Its contact, package, newsletter and class forms use Google Apps Script to process submissions. The booking workflow uses Google Sheets and email notifications for Retro Dance’s administration. A submitted form is different from simply opening an email application: information is sent when you submit it. The acknowledgement may include a reference. If delivery cannot be confirmed, contact Katie before submitting again.

Access to booking sheets and any maintenance access must be limited to people authorised by Retro Dance. The owner review must confirm the current access list and each receiving destination. These operational checks are not established by the presence of this notice.

Payments and other providers

Payment buttons open Revolut’s external checkout. This website does not collect payment-card numbers; a payment reference/status may be used to reconcile a booking. Cloudflare receives technical connection information to deliver and protect the site; see Cloudflare’s privacy information.

Cookies and saved details

The optional class-booking “Remember my details” choice saves your name, email, phone number and venue in this browser for up to 90 days. It is off unless you choose it. Do not use it on a shared device. It does not save payment-card details. Use “Forget my details” on the classes page, uncheck the option, or clear this site’s browser data to remove the saved details. Other sites’ browser data is separate.

No advertising or visitor-analytics system is added by this website’s code. Hosting security and the Google form-processing service may process technical information when used. Preferences saved on the previous Shopify website do not control this website. New analytics or embedded services need review and appropriate choices before introduction.

Retention

Enquiries and booking records should be kept only while needed to answer requests, administer classes and passes, deliver agreed services, meet applicable record-keeping obligations or resolve complaints and claims. Records no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised. This standard needs to be applied to email and booking sheets as well as exported copies; the website does not automatically delete those business records. The 90-day browser preference is separate from business-record retention. Contact Katie about a particular record or deletion request.

International services

The providers above operate internationally. Applicable locations and safeguards depend on the service and account arrangements; these should be checked with the providers. This notice does not promise UK-only storage or assert that a particular transfer mechanism has been independently verified.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy of your personal information. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. Rights are subject to the applicable legal conditions and exceptions.

Your right to object

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests by explaining your circumstances, and to direct marketing at any time. Contact Katie using the email above.
